Christmas at Chic Fil A

We met Elijah and his mom at Chic Fil A to exchange presents and let the kids play. We didn't know it was Polar Express Night. 1,000 kids in their pj's, Polar Express playing on the wide screen, free food, hot cocoa, a giant cow, and Santa. Wonder why Scott didn't want to go? Chicken!

Merry Christmas 2010

Here are some wonderful pics of Emi. She is turing into quite the Miss Priss. I love it! She loves jewelry and having her nails painted. She is obssessed with Avon books. Like, sleeps with them every night obsessed. She is so smart and articulate. She wrote an "E" for the first time yesterday in daycare. Wow! I don't mean to brag but I think she is awesome. This time last year she was hospitalized and diagnosed with Asthma. This year we were all healthier, praise God! We are truely blessed. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night....

Polka Dot at 5 in the Morning

This morning Emily came into our room about 5:45 and said Mom come help me. I followed her to her room where she took off her pull-up, demanded big girl panties and then dug in the dirty clothes basket for her favorite polka dot dress. She has worn this polka dot dress for 3 days at the house. It is covered in dirt and food. I told her she could wear it for a little while but then had to wear clean clothes to school. She wasn't happy but didn't pitch a tantrum. This is her in her favorite dress and then a pic of what she actually wore school....

Cute Emily sayings....

My, My since Emily has turned 2 she has obtained quite an extensive vocabulary. Most of the time there is a lot of endless chatter.

Some funnies...

She can count to 10 in Spanish. Thanks Dora the Explorer!!

She wants to call people on the phone but won't talk when they answer.

She answers the phone when telemarketers call. I love it :)

She now calls me and Scott, Mom and Dad

Yesterday she was watching TV while I was getting dressed. She saw me put on my bra and said, "Mom you put on your boobs". "Yes, honey I'm putting on my boobs." What can I say, the bra must make a difference.

Every day is something new. I'll keep 'em coming.

Summer 2010

My favorit pic so far from Summer 2010. We went to the lake to see the fireworks for the 4th of July. Now everytime we go to the lake Emily expects there to be fireworks.

Emi pee, peed in the potty, pee peed in the potty....

Yes, I am one of "those" moms that bribes her child to use the potty. For poops she gets mini M & M's. Emily is doing so well with potty training. I can't believe it at 2 yrs old!! It has been really easy. I took a pic of her first poop. Yuck. Emi you can better believe that I'm showing it to your first boyfriend.

Best Friends

This is too precious!!! Emily's best friend is Caroline Carter (CC). They met at daycare and are always hanging out and playing together. They both love Mickey Mouse, dance, and the park. Right now they are taking swimming lessons together. Emily always wants to give her hugs. Once we were at Eli's birthday party and Emily and CC were fighting over the Cozy Coupe Car. CC had Emily shoved all the way over against the side so she could drive. Emily was screaming and CC had the most devilish laugh. I loved it!! Thanks Melissa for sharing.

First hair cut

Well, I didn't want to but she needed her hair cut. So at 23 months she had her first hair cut. We went to Scott's Aunt Kathy. She had given Scott his first hair cut. Emily was great. She didn't want the cape on, but she didn't cry. I think she is a little Miss Priss. She even let her curl her hair with a curling iron. Emily's Aunt Gina had given her an engraved silver first curl keepsake. Her hair was so long I had to wrap it around several times to fit into the container.

Emily's first snow

I was so excited to see the snow; mainly because it would be Emily's first snow, but it was the most snow we had seen in a long while. I picked her up from daycare early and the entire class was excited. Scott had to work late so Emily and I played for about an hour when we first came home. Later after we cooked dinner we went outside again and found the neighborhood kids playing in our front yard. She had a great time and didn't want to come in from the cold. We all had a great time. We built the tallest snowman ever. I was so impressed how it rolled in the snow and made a huge ball. The next day we went to the hunting property and rode the four wheeler. We had the best time. My little snow bunny.

What's new in Spiresland....

Well, for starters apparently Miss Em has asthma. After a weekend in the hospital and 5 other doctor visits we are going to see a Pediatric Pulminologist. It is scary when your child can't breath and can't tell you what's wrong. Please keep Emily in your prayers.
December 4th Emily was struggling to breath at daycare. We rushed her to the doctors and she was taken by ambulance to Palmetto Richland Children's Hospital. She was admitted into PICU for Friday night. The staff and nurses there were great. She had to stay in the hospital bed hooked to all sorts of machines. She moved to the 7th floor the following morning. She was running and jumping everywhere since she was free, and feeling much better. She was released on Sunday. We were all so tired and thankful to be home!

Here is a pic from the PICU.

Christmas and New Year's came and went with a bang. Emily enjoyed seeing everyone and visiting. She didn't make it long enough to see the ball drop. She was out by 9:30. She is growing and learning so much so fast. How lucky we are!
