All about the berries

This past Sunday Emily and I went to pick strawberries with CC and her mom. We had a blast. Emily must have eaten 10 berries. She was covered in sweet, sticky goodness. She looked like a pro. I got a dose of the latest saying, "I don't need your help." So, she grabbed her bucket and off she went. Too funny! She really did a great job. This pic looks like Emily is explaining the what and what nots to CC. She's just like her mom, our way or no way!

The cherished Minnie Dress

I have to post about Emily's most prized possession at this time, her Minnie Dress. We eat, sleep, play and talk non stop about this dress. She was Minnie Mouse this past Halloween and she hasn't gone a day without the dress since. This dress is very well made to endure all the washings and constant wearing. Lately she puts on the dress and adds as many accessories as she can possibly fit onto her body. Notice the 6 bracelets, clip on earrings, and the princess shoes. Come by our house on Saturdays and you'll see the Minnie Dress with tap shoes all day long (Calgon take me away!).

Motivational Quote of the day......

Emily got up in the middle of the night again so none of us had a great night of sleep which puts us running late and on edge the next morning. So I was fussy, and Emily was fussy right back. Teenage years are going to be great I can tell already! So we are finally in the car and this is our conversation:

Emily: "Mom, you aren't being very nice."

Me: "Well, you've been fussing at me all morning. Let's just be quiet and listen to your cd."

Emily: "Mom, No Whining!"

What do you do when your 2 yr old puts you in your place? I was a little hot and bothered but she is right, so NO Whining! Thought of the day....

Christmas at Chic Fil A

We met Elijah and his mom at Chic Fil A to exchange presents and let the kids play. We didn't know it was Polar Express Night. 1,000 kids in their pj's, Polar Express playing on the wide screen, free food, hot cocoa, a giant cow, and Santa. Wonder why Scott didn't want to go? Chicken!

Merry Christmas 2010

Here are some wonderful pics of Emi. She is turing into quite the Miss Priss. I love it! She loves jewelry and having her nails painted. She is obssessed with Avon books. Like, sleeps with them every night obsessed. She is so smart and articulate. She wrote an "E" for the first time yesterday in daycare. Wow! I don't mean to brag but I think she is awesome. This time last year she was hospitalized and diagnosed with Asthma. This year we were all healthier, praise God! We are truely blessed. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night....

Polka Dot at 5 in the Morning

This morning Emily came into our room about 5:45 and said Mom come help me. I followed her to her room where she took off her pull-up, demanded big girl panties and then dug in the dirty clothes basket for her favorite polka dot dress. She has worn this polka dot dress for 3 days at the house. It is covered in dirt and food. I told her she could wear it for a little while but then had to wear clean clothes to school. She wasn't happy but didn't pitch a tantrum. This is her in her favorite dress and then a pic of what she actually wore school....

Cute Emily sayings....

My, My since Emily has turned 2 she has obtained quite an extensive vocabulary. Most of the time there is a lot of endless chatter.

Some funnies...

She can count to 10 in Spanish. Thanks Dora the Explorer!!

She wants to call people on the phone but won't talk when they answer.

She answers the phone when telemarketers call. I love it :)

She now calls me and Scott, Mom and Dad

Yesterday she was watching TV while I was getting dressed. She saw me put on my bra and said, "Mom you put on your boobs". "Yes, honey I'm putting on my boobs." What can I say, the bra must make a difference.

Every day is something new. I'll keep 'em coming.
